A young tourist died Saturday after jumping 50 feet into the ocean off the dangerous Spitting Cave cliff in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Santiago Bordieu, 28, could be seen on video footage running from the cliff edge before leaping off the cliff into the water below.
His body splashed into the water triggering horrified onlookers who rushed to help him.
Minutes later, Bordieu’s body resurfaced, floating in the water. Crews from the Honolulu Department of Ocean Safety responded to the incident and retrieved the Argentinian teacher’s body.
Bordieu initially responded to CPR before succumbing to his injuries.
The decedent was a physical education teacher at the Saint Nicholas School in Olivos and a physical trainer at the San Isidro Club.

“[Santiago] was a player of the 96 generation and also collaborated as a PF in our youth divisions. He will be missed.”
Honolulu’s Spitting Cave is an infamously dangerous tourist destination known for unpredictable and wild currents.
