Vince Neil’s jet crashes into plane at Arizona airport killing 1

One person is dead after a business jet owned by Vince Neil crashed into another plane at a Scottsdale, Arizona airport Monday afternoon.

Investigators said the Learjet 35A deviated from the runway as it landed at Scottsdale Municipal Airport around 2:45 p.m. and collided with a Gulfstream 200 business jet parked on private property.

Five people were injured including one fatally. Three others were taken to a local hospital.

  • Neil’s band identified the deceased person as the pilot adding that his girlfriend and a friend were injured in the collision. Neil himself was not onboard the plane when it departed from Austin, Texas.

    “More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing,” the band said in a statement.

    “Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”

    The National Transportation Safety will launch an investigation.
