New Orleans news, Louisiana news.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans Sunday becoming the first sitting president to attend the event, sources said.

Fox News announced that anchor Bret Baier will interview President Trump in West Palm Beach, Florida ahead of the game opposing the Kansas City Chiefs to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Authorities tightened security measures for the Super Bowl after the recent terrorist attack that killed 14 people and wounded dozens on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street.

The Department of Homeland Security designated the matchup a “level one” security event deploying nearly 700 agents to help with security in and around the arena.

“Although no specific, credible threats related to this year’s game have been identified, the U.S. remains in a heightened threat environment, as evidenced by the recent terror attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day,” the DHS said Monday.
