2 teens arrested after fatal shooting of security guard at Dallas CVS

Two minors were arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a security guard at a CVS Pharmacy in downtown Dallas, police said.

Anthony Egeonu, 39, was gunned down after he confronted suspects trying to rob the CVS at around 11 p.m. Friday.

The father of three succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital. Dallas Police arrested two juveniles but would not release their names due to their age.

  • A resident who lives next to the store said that criminal activity was worsening in the area.

    “It’s certainly scary, because I am at that CVS weekly…and just thinking about someone going in and doing that,” she said.

    The pharmacy said through a spokesperson that the victim was employed by a third-party company.

    “We’re cooperating with Dallas police as they investigate the incident that occurred at our Main Street store last night.”
