Authorities in Ocala, Florida are investigating after a trooper used deadly force during a fight at a local hospital Friday.
The Florida Highway Patrol trooper and a suspect who was in custody were involved in an altercation while at the emergency department of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.

The situation ended with the trooper fatally shooting the man who has yet to be identified.
Police said no officers or hospital employees were injured in the incident. It remains unclear why the trooper and suspect were at the hospital.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
