Cape Coral news, Florida news.

A Florida woman who went missing in December was found dead, dismembered, and decomposing in her Cape Coral backyard by her horrified brother.

Alejandro Llanes visited Areles Llanes’ home on Monday after not hearing from her since last month.

“When I walk in and I saw that, my first impression, it was a pig, like an animal,” he recalled.

“No legs, no arms, it was like a big bag of skin. It was like, ‘God, I can’t believe what I’m looking at and seeing.’”

“It was a piece of a person. It was not even the full body because no legs, no arms.”

“What happened is she was not living a healthy life, like drinking a lot of wine, not eating properly,” Llanes said.

“She probably collapsed in the backyard and after like a week, those dogs that were hungry are animals. They need to survive. They just start eating her.”

Animal control services took the three dogs into custody for evaluation.

“We cleaned out the whole house because it was unbelievable the way she used to live, and you have three big dogs inside the house and she never took care of anything.”
