A Georgia man was arrested Tuesday hours after he allegedly stabbed a woman to death.
Brian Moree is accused of killing 28-year-old Adrina Long at a Whitfield County home.
A deputy spotted Moree fleeing the scene on foot before locating Long’s body inside the home with a knife sticking out of her chest.
Moree was arrested about four hours later in a wooded area. The relationship between him and the victim remains unclear.
“Teamwork is about more than just working together – it’s about bringing all our strengths and resources to bear in the pursuit of justice,” Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce said.
“It takes a collective effort to respond to a tragedy like this. In just a few hours, we identified the offender, secured arrest warrants, and tracked him down in the woods to make the arrest.”
