Two people were killed and two others wounded late Tuesday after a shooting in east Houston, police said.
Police responded to a property on Greens Bayou Street off I-10 shortly before 10 p.m. Houston Police Lt. Willkens described the area as fairly open.
“It appears to be a place where you would store vehicles, there are some storage-like sheds, storage containers in the back there but it’s fairly open, about an acre property, mostly grass fenced in,” he said.
Detectives learned that several gunshots were found followed by a pause and more gunshots.
At the scene, officers found two fatally wounded men. One was pronounced deceased while the other died at the hospital.
Two more victims showed up at a local trauma center seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.
All four victims were men in their 20s. Police also found drugs and cash at the shooting scene.
