A Florida man died in a failed murder-suicide attempt late Saturday with his wife surviving her injuries.
Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the couple’s Edgewater home at around 12:17 a.m. and declared the husband dead at the scene.

The wife was taken to a hospital where she remained in stable condition as of Sunday afternoon.
Investigators said the man shot his wife during an argument before turning the gun on himself.
There were no prior domestic incidents involving the couple. Their identities were not released pending the ongoing investigation.
