Three homeless men were fatally struck by a train earlier this week and the train engineer says he didn’t see them on tracks.
The engineer added that he did not know that he had struck the three victims before their bodies were found Tuesday near the tracks more than six hours after the incident.
The Alabama Port Authority said that a second operator with a different view of the scene noticed the bodies.

Locals said the three men regularly frequented the area around the tracks.
