A Florida man allegedly confessed to killing a jeweler over a $20,000 Rolex watch he bought for his girlfriend for Christmas.
Nenad Milosevich, 56, was charged with murder in connection to the death of Anthony D’Amore, 73.
D’Amore was found dead on Dec. 23 in a suite at 6245 N. Surveillance footage caught him entering the suite with Milosevich on Dec. 20.
Milosevich exited the room about a couple hours later carrying a small bag and large square items he later identified as a video recorder.
During questioning, Milosevich claimed he paid D’Amore $16,000 for the watch but the jeweler wanted more than the initial price because Milosevich wasn’t paying fast enough.
When the argument between the two men escalated, Milosevich struck D’Amore’s throat twice, got on top of him, and choked him until he became unresponsive.
Milosevich also admitted to stealing about 20 pieces of jewelry and the video recorder before taking off in his pickup truck.
He said he later dropped the items off a bridge into the water.
