A Missouri father took his own life after fatally shooting his two young children and setting his Kansas City home on fire on Jan. 2.
38-year-old Zachary Hatcher was found dead along with his 6-year-old daughter Charlotte. His 8-year-old son Jeffrey died at a hospital.
All three were found suffering from gunshot wounds inside the burning residence.

The Platte County R-3 School District said that Jeffery was a 2nd grader while Charlotte was in kindergarten.
Their family remembered how the siblings brought “immeasurable joy and light into the lives of everyone who knew them.”
“Words cannot fully express the indescribable pain and sorrow we are experiencing as we mourn their passing,” a GoFundMe page read.
