An Alabama boy was fatally shot Friday night when someone opened fire at his Bessemer home, police said.
The shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. outside a home in the 1200 block of 13th Street North.

Police Detective Justin Burmeister said the 13-year-old boy was inside the home when a gunman fired into the house, fatally striking him.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. It remains unclear who the shooter was targeting.
