Four people were found dead inside a West Greenwich, Rhode Island home early Friday.
A 911 caller reported that their coworker did not show up for two days sending police to the residence on Cheyenne Trail at around 10:30 a.m.
Police said all four victims had fatal gunshot wounds. West Greenwich Police Chief Richard Ramsay described the scene as “one of the worst scenes” he had ever seen.
“I’m not going to confirm any more than four bodies that are in the home right now,” Ramsay said.
“Like I said, they all suffered gunshot wounds, and we have to really wait until the M.E. We have not been able to identify anybody at this point,”
“So, we have to wait for the investigation to continue, and let’s take it one step at a time.”
The medical examiner’s office is working to identify the victim. Connecticut State Police have joined the investigation and the RI State Police Mobile Crime Laboratory was installed outside the residence.
Authorities assured that there was no threat to the community.
