A 12-year-old boy died in a tragic skiing accident on a New Hampshire mountain on Tuesday, authorities said.
The child crashed into a tree while skiing an intermediate-level trail on the beginner-friendly Cranmore Mountain in North Conway.
Police were called to the scene at around 11 a.m. and found the boy unconscious in the snow, wearing a helmet.

First responders performed life-saving measures at the scene before rushing the victim to the hospital where he died.
“On behalf of Cranmore Mountain Resort, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family,” the resort said through a spokesperson.
“The entire Cranmore family grieves this tragic loss.”
