A California man is behind bars accused of stabbing three family members including children to death, police in Baldwin Park said.
Officers responded to the massacre at around 7 p.m. Thursday and found a 44-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old girl deceased from multiple stab wounds.
The 23-year-old suspect was arrested after he tried to flee in car and crashed into a cul de sac, police said.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Rona Nate, 44, Paul Sebastian Manangan, and Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8.
A neighbor recalled hearing the younger victim scream out for help saying “Someone call 911. My brother stabbed my mom in the back. I saw blood.”
The suspect, who has not been identified, was charged with murder.
