Police in Oklahoma City shot and killed a male suspect after a domestic situation that left one teen dead and another wounded Friday afternoon.
An armed man ambushed officers upon their arrival at the scene of a domestic disturbance in the 6600 block of Bayberry Drive at around 1:15 p.m.
The officers fired back at the suspect killing him. Once they entered the home, they found two injured teenagers and rushed them to a hospital.
One of the teens succumbed to his injuries. The other remains hospitalized in stable condition. Police said an involved officer sustained a gunshot but is expected to survive.
“It’s really sad, you know? Because we never know who our neighbors are,” a neighbor said.
“We have to be careful and check our surroundings because we don’t know what’s around us.”
