Driver charged after crash kills 2, injures 3 in Minneapolis

A Minnesota woman has been charged in connection to a deadly crash that left two people dead and three others injured Monday.

Teniki Steward, 38, was charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and two counts of criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm.

Prosecutors alleged that Steward was speeding when she drove her Buick Enclave through a red light at an intersection on Emerson Avenue North and struck a Ford Explorer.

    Steward, her male passenger, and a teen bystander were injured in the crash.

    The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified them as Esther Jean Fulks, 53, and Rose Elaine Reece, 57.

    “Esther worked with a lot of families and people who came into the building. These were our people. We’re all in shock right now and we’re just trying to heal,” Fulks’ coworker said.
