A 4-month-old girl died last month after she was brutally attacked by her father and authorities have now indicted her mother in connection to the incident.
Prosecutors indicted Danielle Rheude, 31, on counts of complicity to commit murder and child endangering after her Thursday’s arrest.
Rheude and her daughter’s father, 33-year-old Andrew Kammerer, are facing charges in connection to the Nov. 4 death of 4-month-old Evelyn Kammerer.
First responders rushed to the couple’s Goshen Township home over reports of a baby with breathing problems after a fall.
Kammerer told police his daughter fell from a changing table while he changed his diaper. He performed CPR on the infant until paramedics’ arrived.
The infant died 12 hours later from injuries “inconsistent with an accidental fall” with an autopsy revealing she had been “subjected to an extraordinarily violent attack.”
The victim’s twin sister also suffered injuries; prosecutors said adding that the father told officers “I don’t know my own strength.”
