One person is dead, and another injured after a small plane crashed onto a New York highway late Thursday, officials said.
The two victims were onboard the small plane that crashed on Interstate 684 in Harrison, roughly 25 miles northeast of Manhattan at around 7 p.m.

Footage from the crash site showed a wrecked white plane against a guardrail in the center median.
The Department of Environmental Conservation was working to clean up the spilled fuel.
“My heart goes out to the loved ones of those on board during this tragic incident, and I am praying for a safe recovery for the injured individual,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a statement.
