Shooting at Indiana Laundromat leaves 1 dead; 3 wounded

A shooting at a Lafayette, Indiana Laundromat has left one person dead and three others wounded late Thursday, police said.

Gunfire erupted at around 7:41 p.m. at Lafayette Laundry at 3100 South St., the Lafayette Police Department said.

Officers located four people with gunshot wounds including the suspect. A male victim was confirmed dead.

    “Investigators believe the shooter is among the wounded. There is no ongoing threat to the public and all involved parties have been accounted for,” police said.

    The investigation continues with roads leading to the Laundromat remaining closed off.

    “We appreciate your cooperation and will provide updates as more information becomes available,” the department added.
