A Texas man was killed in a major traffic crash in Corpus Christi Friday, authorities said.
Officers in Corpus Christi responded to the crash involving a pedestrian at 5:19 p.m. Friday on the westbound highway at Waldron Road.

The victim was laying on the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Detectives learned that the car was traveling west in the 10100 block of Highway 358 when the pedestrian intentionally walked into traffic and was hit by the vehicle.
Authorities did not release the deceased man’s identity. An investigation is ongoing.
