Seattle news, Washington news.

A Washington woman was arrested after she allegedly murdered her father with an ice climbing axe on election night, officials said.

Investigators said that 33-year-old Corey Burke killed her father after an argument over lighting at the Seattle home they shared.

She then smashed all windows at the home, police said. Neighbors recalled hearing smashing glass.

“My first thought was, are people getting upset over this election, or is somebody trying to break and enter?” a neighbor said.
