North Dakota taxi driver dies while working after suffering sudden stroke

A North Dakota taxi driver was found dead in her vehicle hours after she suffered a sudden stroke while working, her family said.

Juni Flood was found dead in her vehicle late Friday by her husband who grew concerned when she did not return home or answer his calls.

“She was at work when it happened. 8:51 in the morning.” Fred Flood said adding that his wife of 25 years pulled into the parking lot of Royal Liquors when she suffered the medical emergency.

  • “I got home; my wife’s van was not there. She was not there. I knew something wasn’t right,” he recalled.

    “I got there probably at 7:20 at night. I’m okay with her passing and what happened. I’m just not okay with how they dealt with knowing the cab sat there and nobody did a checkup or anything.”

    The grieving man was referring to Juni’s employer, Doyle’s. The company confirmed the death of one of its employees after a medical episode adding that an investigation is ongoing.

    “It feels like a dream. I’m never going to wake up for it. I know it’s real, but it feels like a dream. Sudden. I wasn’t expecting this at all.”
