Suspect killed in shootout with police during crisis response at Kentucky mental facility

A man is dead and at least two officers are injured after an incident at a mental health facility in Kentucky.

Green Bowling officers responded to reports of an individual in a mental health facility at the LifeSkills Adult Crisis at around 4:30 a.m.

As the officers tried to calm down the man, he reportedly “became combative, attempted to disarm one of the officers, and was able to gain control of a weapon,” the Kentucky State Police said.

    The identities of the deceased man and the two wounded cops were not immediately disclosed.
