Three family members and their pets were found dead inside a Riverton, Wyoming home in a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning incident.
Two adults and a toddler were found deceased inside the home along with their pets when police responded to the reports of fumes’ smell in the area.
Riverton Police officers forced their way into the home where they discovered the bodies.

After monitoring the situation, Fire Department crews found dangerous levels of carbon monoxide at the home.
The odorless, colorless gas is also referred to as the “silent killer” and can emanate from heating systems, household appliances, and vehicle exhaust.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
