Boyfriend arrested after California woman’s body found in trash can

A California man was arrested at a relative home after the body of his slain girlfriend was found stashed in a trash can.

Julie Anne Sanetra, 38, was found dead in a trash can in the backyard of a home in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue in Costa Mesa Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday evening, police arrested 49-year-old Daniel Allen Aldrich at a relative’s house in Glendale.

  • “Detectives were able to establish that the arrestee and the victim were in a relationship,” the CMPD said.

    It remains unclear how Sanetra died but a neighbor said that she moved into the house “four or five” months ago.

    “I pass by here two, three times every single day for seven days a week, and I’ve never seen anybody there,” another neighbor said.

    “It was for sale, and I know it was sold, but I didn’t see anybody move in.”
