A Texas woman accused of violently slaughtering her boyfriend earlier this month allegedly told detectives she “blacked out” during the bloodbath.
McKenzie Renee Eary, 20, called a relative who took her to a medical facility after allegedly killing 24-year-old Gregory Mandle Bobenouax II.
Responding officers found Bobenouax dead on the ground of the couple’s living room covered in blood.
“Based on evidence observed at the scene, it appeared the male had been stabbed and beaten with a baseball bat,” an affidavit stated.
The victim suffered “massive blunt force trauma to his head and neck” and a “deep puncture” to the side of his neck.
Eary was questioned at the hospital where she sought treatment for wounds she claimed were the result of Bobenouax’s abuse.
She allegedly said that Bobenouax beat her after she returned home from work and punched her in the back of the head, causing her to “black out.”
When she woke up, Eary found herself covered in blood next to Bobenouax’s lifeless body, she claimed.
Eary, who has outstanding warrants in Indiana, was arrested Friday and charged with murder.
