Authorities in Las Vegas, Nevada are seeking the public’s help as they investigate the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found last week in a luggage bag.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a “deceased person” at around 4 a.m. Thursday.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the woman’s body inside a luggage bag near a residential complex.

The coroner’s office later identified the victim as 46-year-old Kristen Avelar.
“Due to the suspicious nature of her death, the LVMPD Homicide Section responded and took over the investigation,” police said.
Several photos of the victim were also released in the hope of getting more information about her and her death.
