Police looking for ‘armed and dangerous’ mom who vanished after toddler died from fentanyl exposure

Authorities in Portland, Oregon are actively looking for a mother accused of causing the death of her toddler and committing “several violent crimes” in recent weeks.

Mary Jacobo, 26, fled her home after her 2-year-old daughter went into cardiac arrest on Sept. 12.

The toddler died at a hospital. Detectives determined “based on evidence discovered at the child’s home and conversations with hospital staff that fentanyl is believed to be a contributing factor.”

    Since her child’s passing, Jacobo is believed to have committed an armed carjacking and other offenses.

    Jacobo also has several outstanding arrest warrants and is considered armed and dangerous.
