Katy news, Texas news.

The grieving parents of a slain Texas teen are seeking justice after he was found dead inside his bullet-riddled vehicle in late September.

Cody Johnson, 19, was found dead with several gunshot wounds on the Katy Freeway on Sept. 27.

He had left his mother’s Missouri City home to pick up his girlfriend from her job at around 7 p.m. but never made it.

While no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, it is believed the incident was road rage-related.

A reward of $30,000 is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest.

“Even if he cut off, or someone cut him off, there’s no reason he should be dead because of it,” the father said.

“Value in people’s lives is more than a car or a frustration.”
