A Florida man has shot and killed his friend while both stood watch for an unnamed threat outside an Escambia County home late Tuesday.
David Kueker, 41, and his 44-year-old friend were outside the home of Kueker’s sister Tuesday night, “standing watch” when Kueker got into the backseat of a car to take a nap.
When Kueker fell asleep, his friend approached his car on a walker, abruptly waking him up.

The startled man fatally shot his friend through the car window, police said.
“This action is deemed by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office to be grossly negligent, and he is being charged accordingly,” Sheriff Chip Simmons said.
Kueker has been charged with manslaughter, the sheriff added.
