A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in connection to the July murder of a Chicago postal worker.
The juvenile stands accused of gunning down Octavia Richmond, 48, on July 19 as she delivered mail on Chicago’s South Side.

Redmond died of her injuries at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Surveillance footage linked the teen to the crime but a motive remains unclear.
“There is no place for this type of senseless violence,” said Ruth M. Mendonca of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
“When members of our postal family are targeted, postal inspectors will not rest until justice is delivered on behalf of the victims, their families, and our postal community.”
