A Michigan girl is dead and her older sister is behind bars after a fatal stabbing at their family home Saturday.
Taylor Police officers responded to the home Saturday afternoon and transported the 7-year-old victim to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her 13-year-old sister was arrested “without incident,” police said adding that the stabbing stemmed from an argument between the siblings.
“This is a tragic event for the family, and we are ensuring that necessary resources are being made available to support everyone involved,” police said in a statement.
“We ask the public to respect the family’s privacy as we carry out a thorough investigation.”
