Authorities in Lodi, California are investigating after the lifeless body of a newborn was discovered in a parking lot on Thursday.
A Commissary Azteca employee first spotted the body while eating lunch outside his workplace.
The employee saw the deceased baby between two cars parked by a wall and alerted his co-workers and the police.

The infant was declared dead at the scene. A witness reported that the baby was “a few hours old.”
“When I see it, I just tried to see if it was moving or not, but I don’t see nothing,” she said.
