An alleged murder suspect was found “covered in blood” by the mother and sister of a slain teen girl as they looked for her late Sunday night.
21-year-old Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney was also found with the missing 17-year-old girl’s scooter and personal belongings, police said.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested Bevers-McGivney who refused to collaborate with investigators and asked for an attorney.
The teen’s body was located Monday morning in Farnhamville City Park.
The complaint “suggests that Bevers-McGivney intentionally hid the body to conceal a crime and that he failed to disclose the location with the intent to conceal a crime.”
The victim was a student at Southeast Valley School District. School officials said in an email to families that counseling will be available to students.
“Out of respect for the feelings of those impacted by this event, all district competitions and practices are canceled for this afternoon and evening,” the statement added.
