A 16-year-old Florida boy was fatally struck by lightning while riding his bike on Wednesday, authorities said.
Cameron Day, a McArthur High School junior, was found lying in the rain in the grass and not moving while still on his bicycle.

He was brought to the Memorial Hospital Regional with burns to his chest and inner thighs. He died later that day.
Officials confirmed that lightning was seen in the area that day amid stormy weather that battered South Florida.
“Cameron was only 16 years old and in 11th grade. He was a bright light and sweet soul who touched the lives of so many,” his family said.
