Authorities in Maine said that a child died after collapsing during a youth sporting event this week.
The boy collapsed on the field while playing at a YMCA location in Maine.
Staffers performed CPR and paramedics arrived at the scene to help with the efforts before they rushed the boy to a hospital where he died.

“We were devastated to learn that, despite the best efforts of our staff and emergency responders, the young child passed away,” the Bath Area Family YMCA said in a statement.
The boy’s identity has not been released.
“Our thoughts and prayers remain with this young child, his family and friends, as well as those who came to his aid.”
