NC waffle house employee, 18, gunned down by customer who remains at large

A North Carolina teen was fatally shot by a customer while working at a Laurinburg waffle house early Friday morning.

Burlie Locklear, 18, was gunned down by a customer at a Waffle House on Scotland Crossing Drive shortly before 12:45 a.m. Friday.

Police said the suspect was annoyed and hurling insults at the restaurant’s employees after ordering his food.

After getting his order, the suspect walked toward his vehicle but then turned and fired twice at the restaurant fatally hitting Locklear.

    He was last seen on Scotland Crossing Drive toward West Boulevard.

    Police described the gunman as a man with facial hair, and long dreads, standing 5’8” to 5’10” tall and weighing around 180 pounds.

    The suspect was sporting a dark blue pullover hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes. He was driving a dark gray 2014 Chevrolet.
