The body of an employee was found in a freezer by his terrified coworkers at a Raleigh, North Carolina grocery store.
The grisly discovery was made Monday night at a Food Lion grocery store on Capital Boulevard outside the Raleigh’s downtown area.
The man, identified as an employee of the grocery store, apparently suffered a medical emergency while at work and died inside the freezer.
“Food Lion is deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of our associate,” said a Food Lion spokesperson. “We express our deepest condolences to the associate’s family and friends.”
“Food Lion is cooperating with local authorities in their investigation of this unfortunate incident.”
No foul play is suspected in his death as it appears the victim died of natural causes.
