Child calls 911 on mother who was driving recklessly, looking for ‘water to drive into’

An 8-year-old Oregon girl called 911 from the backseat of her mother’s car to report that the woman was driving recklessly, looking for “water to drive into.”

Camie Sorensen, 43, was taken into custody on charges of reckless driving, eluding, and reckless endangering.

Her child told dispatchers the car “was being driven recklessly through red lights” as it headed toward Springfield.

    Sorensen allegedly took off at a high rate of speed southbound on Pioneer Parkway West.

    There, officers saw her “weaving through traffic, and driving dangerously” before stopping abruptly at an intersection.

    Police arrested Sorensen and retrieved her child who was in good condition.
