2 dozen students hospitalized after crash in Atlanta

At least nineteen students were rushed to hospitals after a crash in DeKalb County early Wednesday morning, the school district said.

The crash occurred in Ellenwood at around 8:20 a.m. when a school bus was struck by a car with 25 students onboard.

The bus landed in a ditch after hitting a pole as it tried to avoid another vehicle.

    “All you could hear was kids screaming, frantic,” a mother of a 6th-grader who suffered a black eye and had her face swollen after the crash.

    “These days, just getting to school every day is now a challenge.”
