N.C. line worker dies from electrocution while servicing neighborhood

A North Carolina line worker died from electrocution this week while doing his job, authorities in Charlotte said.

The Duke Energy employee was electrocuted at around 2:35 p.m. while servicing the area of Wandering Creek Drive in northwest Charlotte.

“Earlier this afternoon, a fatality on Wandering Creek Drive in Charlotte involved one of our line workers,” the company said in a statement.
