A Tennessee father is facing charges after he allegedly forgot his infant inside a hot car for hours leading to the child’s death.

Timothy Paul Blackdeer told Collegedale Police officers that his baby was unresponsive in the backseat of his car.

All attempted efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful before they were declared dead at an area hospital.

He went to work at a construction site until 3 p.m. when his wife called asking where one of the children was.

The woman told police the babysitter alerted her that the father only dropped off two kids but she assumed the third was left with older children at home.

The mother called the incident “an accident” but Blackdeer still faces charges of reckless homicide and aggravated child abuse or neglect.
