Authorities in Grand Prairie, Texas said four family members were killed in a fiery crash involving street racers Saturday night.
Jessie and Lorena Rosales and two of their children, aged 6 and 13, were killed when their car tried to make a turn onto a side street and was struck by a street racer on Beltline Road.
The couple’s car flipped and caught flames; their 16-year-old son survived with critical wounds after being ejected from the vehicle.
Police arrested the two suspects who were allegedly street racing in two Dodge Chargers at the time of the crash.
“Devastating and very hurtful because a lot of people were trying to help them, and they couldn’t get close to them,” a witness said.
“I haven’t been able to sleep well hearing them and not being able to get them out, it’s very hurtful. I wish I could help those people. It’s an emotional and tragic event.”
