Anderson news, South Carolina news.

A former associate psychology professor at Clemson University has allegedly admitted to shooting his wife to death during an argument that “just got out of hand” earlier this month.

Edwin Brainerd Jr., 79, was reportedly standing over 74-year-old Sally Brainerd’s lifeless body when police responded to their Anderson, South Carolina home on July 1.

Investigators determined Edwin shot his wife in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun during a heated argument just before midnight.
