3 killed in head-on collision in Alabama after driver suffers medical issue

Three people are dead following a head-on collision in Shelby County, Alabama Wednesday.

The crash occurred at around 5 p.m. in the 2500 block of Alabama 119, Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans.

  • Two men and a woman were killed in the crash; Evans identified the victims as Patricia McCormick, 77, her son, Felton Seals, 60, and 42-year-old Patrick Williams.

    McCormick is believed to have suffered a medical emergency on the wheel when she crossed the median and struck Williams’ vehicle head-on.

    The accident remains under ongoing investigation by Montevallo Police.
