A Houston toddler is dead after she was mauled by her babysitter’s three Rottweilers Monday, police said.
The mauling incident took place shortly before 12:20 p.m. Monday in a Houston home where an 18-year-old cousin was watching over the 2-year-old girl.
Police said the three dogs attacked the toddler causing her fatal injuries.
The toddler’s family described the tragedy as a tragic accident revealing that she spent a lot of time at the babysitter’s home.
A neighborhood worker said he often saw the Rottweilers but they never attacked anyone.
“I see them all the time when I cut the grass. They bark at me and stuff…I’ve never seen them do anything bad, those dogs, and the people, I’ve never had any problems with them.”
The City Animal Control services confirmed the dogs were turned to them and put down.
