An Oregon mother was left clinging to life after she was mauled by a pack of eight dogs earlier this week.
Mytoka Petry was randomly attacked by the dogs while walking in the North Portland area near a homeless encampment, police said.
Two bystanders tried to intervene but sustained injuries themselves including one who was badly injured.
Friends of the mother said she lost an arm, an ear, and an eye in the brutal attack.
“She had a lot of brain bleeds. She had to have skin grafts for her face,” Monica Estrada said.
“When they have to re-bandage her it takes nearly four hours because it’s head to toe. There are bite marks, there are wounds all over her body,” Juliana Torres added.
Police have not made an arrest in connection to the incident as Petry’s family and friends seek justice.
“Who is regulating that there are packs of dogs in a homeless camp on the side of the road? Who’s going to be held accountable for that? Because this could’ve happened to anybody,” Estrada asked.
