A 20-year-old Louisiana man was brutally executed in Mississippi amid an ongoing custody battle with the mother of his son, his family said.

Steven Harris’ body was found in Wilkinson County, Mississippi several days after someone picked him up from his Baton Rouge home on July 17.

“His demise was set up,” LaSonia Harris, the victim’s mother, said.

Three people were arrested in connection to Harris’ slaying. All were known to Harris and among them was Allyah Martin, his son’s mother.

“It’s plainly clear that he was set up.”

One of the three suspected admitted that the crime weapon belonged to him, Sheriff Brian Spillman said.
